Syrian hamster (Mesocricetus auratus) is a promising animal model to recapitulate the clinical and pathological features of COVID-19 and other human diseses , however, the accurate annotation of the genome and transcriptome of Syrian hamster is still not fully dissected, restraining the potential applications of the model. Here we provide a deep genome and transcriptome sequence of the Syrian hamster.
