Genotypic characterization of Carbapenemase producing organisms obtained in Denmark from patients associated with the war in Ukraine

From February 24th through January 23th 2023, 77 carbapenemase producing organisms were collected as part of the mandatory screening for CPO from 42 patients originating from Ukraine and in contact with the Danish health care system. Nine different bacterial species were obtained; 38 K. pneumoniae, 12 E. coli, one Citrobacter freundii, four Providencia stuartii, two Proteus mirabilis, two Morganella morganii, one Citrobacter amalonaticus, eight A. baumannii, nine P. aeruginosa
