CD19 target evasion as a mechanism of relapse in large B-cell lymphoma treated with axicabtagene ciloleucel

Despite the unprecedented clinical outcomes reported in ZUMA-1, approximately 60% of patients relapsed or progressed following axi-cel infusion. Here we evaluated the potential mechanisms of treatment failure in patients following axi-cel treatment, focusing on CD19 antigen negativity in progression tumor biopsies.
