资源简介:
This dataset contains the finite element models, simulation outputs, and associated scripts developed during a PhD study investigating the response of normal resistivity logging tools to vein and borehole fluid characteristics (Metal Earth Project).
The purpose of this dataset is to quantify how vein geometry, resistivity contrast between vein and host rock, borehole fluid resistivity, and electrode spacing influence apparent resistivity measurements (N-spacing configurations). The models were constructed to provide a physically constrained framework for interpreting borehole resistivity logs in structurally complex, vein-dominated orogenic gold systems.
The dataset includes:
Mesh files in .geo format, along with instructions on how to build the models and convert them to .mesh format
Scripts and input files required to reproduce the simulations and generate the plots
Results of the final simulations in .csv format
These models allow systematic evaluation of boundary effects, depth of investigation differences between electrode spacings, and the influence of resistive and conductive veins on tool response.
The dataset is intended for researchers in borehole geophysics, numerical modeling, and petrophysical interpretation seeking reproducible forward-modeling frameworks for resistivity logging tools.
No sensitive or confidential information is included.
