An 8.6-million-year record of isoprenoid glycerol dialkyl glycerol dialkyl (brGDGT) distributions from Lake Baikal, Russia. i-GDGTs are membrane spanning lipids produced by archaea in numerous growth media. The data archived here document shifts in iGDGT distributions and were not used to reconstruct temperature change.
