Dataset for “The Impact of Renewable Energy Share and Macroeconomic Variables on CO₂ Emissions in ASEAN (2000–2023)”

This dataset supports the article titled “The Impact of Renewable Energy Share and Macroeconomic Variables on CO₂ Emissions in ASEAN (2000–2023)”. It includes balanced panel data for nine ASEAN countries from 2000 to 2023, covering CO₂ emissions per capita, renewable energy share (%), GDP, urban population share (%), and a control variable for systemic shocks in 2020–2021. The dataset is used for panel regression analysis with robustness checks. Variables are sourced from Our World in Data, World Bank, IEA, and processed in Python.
