January 2004 BSFS Weather Station Data

This BSFS dataset of January 2004 weather data was collected by a CR23X Datalogger at the Bull Shoals Field Station, GPS UTM Coordinates: x = 494436.465, y = 4046640.186. The data set measurements are recorded every 30 minutes. Parameters include: Air and ground fuel temperature (Celcius; fuel temperture is a measurement of the temperature of combustible materials that may aid in fire prediction), soil temperature at 5 cm and 20 cm depth, relative humidity (percent), liquid precipitation (inch and mm), wind direction and speed (mps), fuel moisture (percent; a measure of how dry conditions are, which may aid in fire prediction; "fuel" refers to combustible materials such as leaf litter), soil moisture at 20 cm depth(percent), and solar radiation (Watts/m2). Other measurements are recorded by the datalogger and used for calculating additional data such as evapotransporation (30 minute and 24 hour total) or for maintenance needs as in the case of battery voltage (V) generated by the solar panel.
