Global studies of gut microbial diversity on women with gestationla diabetes.

We hypothesized that gestational diabetes mellitus with hyperlipidemia comorbidity is associated with distinct gut microbiota profile and plasma lipidome. To this end, in the current study, we investigated the changes in gut microbiota profiles compositions and plasma lipidome of women with GDM only, hyperlipidemia and those with GDM plus hyperlipidemia, and the correlations between the profiles and clinical biochemical parameters of patients.
