This dataset represents black carbon, dust, and conductivity measurements made on snow and snow meltwater samples at the Jeff Dozier Snow Study Site (Mammoth, CA) in April and May, 2025. The goal of the study was to assess the behavior of soluble and insoluble chemical species within the snowpack. To achieve this objective, repeat snow samples were collected throughout the ablation season and compared to the chemistry of snowmelt using samples collected with tipping bucket snow lysimeters. Black carbon was measured using a Single Particle Soot Photometer (SP2), dust was measured using an Abakus insoluble particle counter, and conductivity was measured using an Amber Scientific conductivity meter.
