HRWP Landscape Analysis Model

The Landscape Analysis Model (LAM) was run using the Humber River watershed refined natural cover (2020) to determine habitat quality within the watershed. LAM ranks habitat patch quality based on a scoring and ranking system that classifies patches from “poor” to “excellent” quality based on their size, shape, and matrix influence (Table 9, TRCA 2007). Each polygon of different natural cover types was considered a patch (i.e. no natural cover types were merged to create a patch).
