Construction and Analysis of Light Chain CDR3 Library of Buffalo and Cattle

Immunoglobulin (Ig) light chains are essential components of all antibody proteins produced by B lymphocytes. Understanding species-specific light chains is crucial for the adaptive immunity and diverse antibody repertoire of vertebrates. Our previous work has elucidated the genomic structure of heavy and light chains in buffalo, as well as the repertoire characteristics of the heavy chain CDR3 region. However, the CDR3 repertoire of buffalo light chains remains incompletely understood. This study systematically investigates the CDR3 repertoire characteristics of buffalo light chains using the CDR3 repertoire of cattle light chains as a reference and comparison template, laying the foundation for understanding the immune function of buffalo.
