资源简介:

These Simons Collaboration on Ocean Processes and Ecology (SCOPE) data products were produced by the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa with support from the Simons Foundation. The 2018 SCOPE-Falkor Cruise north of Oahu, Hawaii, built on the observations of the SCOPE expeditions conducted during 2015-2017 by looking at diel variability associated with the deep chlorophyll maximum and quantifying the impact of mesoscale eddies on the ecology and functioning of the North Pacific Subtropical Gyre. A unique aspect to the expedition was the use of Long-Range Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (LRAUVs) which were integrated into the science operations in conjunction with other oceanographic equipment. All data presented here are from an optics package equipped with a Sea-bird 37, a Wet-labs ECO FL3, and a Wet-Labs BBFL2 sensor, and are corrected to a dark calibration. Yo-yo profiles were taken, which are broken up in post-processing into casts with the same timestamp. CDOM data should be treated with caution as the ECO FL3 sensor has dark calibrations lower than factory dev file, so a positive shift is present that creates a substantial offset from the CDOM values reported by the BBFL2 sensor. The volume scattering is converted to particle backscattering coefficient following Boss and Pegau (2001). The timestamp is in UTC.
