Transcriptome analysis of tumor and normal brain endothelial cells. Transcriptome analysis of tumor and normal brain endothelial cells

The global RNA expression was assayed with endothelial cells (ECs) derived from human glioblastoma and normal brains using RNAseq. Overall design: GBM tumor-derived single-cell suspensions were prepared by the tissue bank at Department of Neurosurgery of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Cell suspensions were subjected to magnetic activating cell sorting (MACS) with anti-CD31 antibody-conjugated magnetic beads. Sorted ECs were verified by Dil-Ac-LDL absorption and vWF staining. Normal human brain-derived ECs were used as controls. RNA was isolated and analyzed by RNAseq.
