Methodological codes for the article “Identification of earnings dynamics using rotating samples over short periods: the case of Chile”, by Carlos Madeira, 2025

These codes use the original sources of data to add in replicating the article. These codes focus on formatting the raw datasets, estimating the employment transitions, income growth and volatility for each year-quarter period. The codes have algorithms that are repeated for each dataset of the ENE (Chilean Labor Force Survey) and its income module in the 4th quarter of each year (Chilean Income and Labor Survey). At the end the codes collect all the year-quarter statistics and compile them in a single panel dataset for all demographic groups.本套代码依托原始数据源，用于复现该学术论文的研究成果。其核心功能包括对原始数据集进行格式化处理，以及针对每一个年度-季度周期估算就业流动、收入增长与收入波动率。本套代码内置循环执行的处理算法，覆盖每年度第四季度的智利劳动力调查（ENE, Chilean Labor Force Survey）数据集及其收入模块（对应智利收入与劳动力调查（Chilean Income and Labor Survey））的全部样本。最终，本套代码会汇总所有年度-季度维度的统计指标，并将其整合为覆盖所有人口分组的单一面板数据集。
