Bacterial symbiont diversity in Hormaphidinae: amplicon sequencing of eight species and genome analysis of bacterial symbionts from Ceratovacuna nekoashi and Pseudoregma panicola

To understand the evolutionary trajectory of dual-symbiosis within Hormaphidinae subfamily, we performed 16S ribosomal RNA gene amplicon sequencing analysis in eight Hormaphidinae species to comprehensively detect bacterial symbionts. In addition, we sequenced and annotated the genomes of bacterial symbionts in Ceratovacuna nekoashi and Pseudoregma panicola to elucidate their genomic features and functional capacities in these aphid species.
