Collated data for EDTA chelating gel usage survey, and annotations

This data set was compiled form survey responses from ASE members on the online platform, Qualtrics, submitted from July-December 2021, in addition to in-person surveys collected at ASE events from February-June, 2022. The survey consisted of 11 questions. Question 1 asked if the respondent currently practised endodontics. Questions 2-4 concerned demographics. Questions 5-6 related to the number of years practising endodontics and hours/week spent performing root canal treatments. Question 7 sought information on limitations on the usage of chelating agents. Question 8 enquired about the percentage of root canal cases for which a chelation gel was used. Question 9 asked which gel was used. Only participants who used a gel in more than 0-1% of root canal cases could answer the Question 10 grid concerning clinical and physical gel properties. Question 11 asked for further comments. Non practicing members were only eligible to answer only question 1. The data was cleaned to reconcile written comments, and the type of gel used, with the actual gel usage percentage indicated. From a total of 181 responses, 174 respondents' results were analysed.
