资源简介:
The database consists of four files. The file "Fishing landings 2009" contains basic data obtained from monitoring fishing landings in 2009, carried out in 10 communities on the northern coast of Paraná. The data were collected daily with the support of community monitors hired through a project funded by the Brazilian federal government. Typically, trips in the study region are daily, including bottom trawling on the continental shelf, carried out by fishermen in their boats. The data collected for each fishing trip included: date, community, fishing location, type of fish landed, quantity landed, fishing gear used, and revenue. Not all trips were recorded; therefore, the database should be considered a sample and not a census of fishing trips in the study region. In total, 13,523 landing records were obtained, each corresponding to one trip in the database. After removing cases with missing data, 12,804 records were retained for the identification of fishing tactics and 11,639 for the weight analysis of landings. Revenue analyses were performed by fishing practice, using only trips with recorded values, totaling 8,961 cases (the file used in the analysis is "dados_valorFinal"). Records with missing data or without commercial value were excluded. The file "dados_estrategiatf_tc" contains the processed data used for Multiple Correspondence Analysis (MCA) and the generated groupings of fishing tactics that served to identify fishing patterns among the studied communities. The file "Supplementary_R_script_Andriguetto_et_alFISH" presents the script used in the statistical analysis, using both data in Portuguese-language datasets (dados_estrategiatf_tc.csv and dados_valorFinal.csv), handles semicolon-separated fields and comma-based decimal notation, translates key categorical labels into English, and generates most figures and tables presented in the revised manuscript. For the construction of the database, the capture locations were recorded, limited to the eight physiographic and sub-estuary sectors of the north coast, according to Noernberg et al. (2006) (https://www.jstor.org/stable/25743033). Each fishing trip was positioned based on the tactic, that is, the relationship between the gear, the species, and the sector used. Then, we used supplementary qualitative variables to examine and visually display the relationships with the village, the season, the months, and the taxonomic variables.
