2019至2022年,草蓄平衡科考分队在一江两河、可可西里、羌塘高原、藏东南、三江源、祁连山南坡与柴达木盆地等关键科考区进行野外样方调查,并收集整理县域尺度青藏高原家畜数据。牧草产草量样方数据共计1779个物质量数据,其中包括1120个物质量实测的地面样方数据,以及文献来源的659个数据。并在此基础上通过随机森林算法进行空间化,总体精度R2=0.88,准确地捕获了青藏高原产草量的空间格局(单位:克干重每平方米,gDM m-2)。而家畜载畜量数据则通过青藏高原县域统计调查得到各县区载畜量,并基于此通过人口数据进行加权空间化得到载畜量空间格局(单位:标准羊单位每公顷,SU ha-1)。该数据集的完成可为分析青藏高原草畜生产、制定县域或区域水平的草畜平衡区划方案、构建科学的草地分类治理与管理提供必要的数据支持。

From 2019 to 2022, the Grass-Livestock Balance Scientific Expedition Team conducted field quadrat surveys in key scientific expedition areas including the Yarlung Zangbo River and its two tributaries, Hoh Xil, the Qiangtang Plateau, southeastern Tibet, the Three-River Source Region, the southern slope of the Qilian Mountains, and the Qaidam Basin, and collated county-scale livestock data of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. A total of 1779 biomass data points for grass yield were collected, including 1120 in-situ measured ground quadrat data and 659 literature-derived data. Subsequently, spatialization was performed using the random forest algorithm, with an overall accuracy of R²=0.88, which accurately captured the spatial pattern of grass yield across the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (unit: grams dry matter per square meter, gDM m⁻²). For livestock carrying capacity data, county-level carrying capacity values were obtained via statistical surveys of counties on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and then spatially weighted using population data to generate the spatial distribution pattern of livestock carrying capacity (unit: standard sheep unit per hectare, SU ha⁻¹). This dataset provides essential data support for analyzing grass-livestock production on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, formulating county-level or regional grass-livestock balance zoning schemes, and developing scientific grassland classification, governance and management strategies.
