资源简介:
This project examined the effects of current and parental growth conditions on offspring transcription in Persicaria maculosa, an herbaceous annual angiosperm. Within-generation and transgenerational plasticity are both known to play important roles in determining individuals' phenotypes. However, there remain key questions remain about the relationship between both types of plasticity: are the relative contributions of within-generation and transgenerational plasticity consistent across different environments and among different genotypes? To answer these questions, we varied the light and soil moisture environments for four highly inbred lines of P. maculosa across two generations. Juvenile leaf tissue from three replicate plants were pooled together for RNA extractions.
