This data may be re-used for scientific, ethically apporoved purposes under the creative commons CC BY 4.0 license agreement. <br> ===============<br> === SUMMARY ===<br> =============== This data was collected between November 2019 and July 2020 at the Kliniken Schmieder Konstanz.<br> The ethical approval for the study was issued by the ETH Zurich ethics commission (EK 2019-N-11).<br> More details can be found in the scientific publication. All participants participated voluntarily and gave their informed consent. The eight study PARTICIPANTS(P1...P8) were diagnosed with an irreversible scapula alata caused by different muscular dystrophies. Data was anonymized and does not reflect the order of recruitment but the order of baseline ability of arm elevation. Each participant performed two arm elevations each under the following CONDITIONS:<br> >> Functional Task, arm elevations under load<br> FT_NO : without any assistance, basline<br> FT_OS : with orthosis assistance, stabilizing the scapula on the thoracic wall<br> >> Range of motion task, arm elevations without load<br> NO : without any assistance, basline<br> OS1...OS6 : with orthosis assistance, stabilizing the scapula on the thoracic wall, set to 6 different force levels<br> SA : scapula maually assisted and guided by a trained therapist More information can be found in the README file and the scientific publication under the same name and authors.
