青藏高原是我国乃至亚洲的重要生态安全屏障区和全球生物多样性保护的热点地区,保障生态安全是青藏高原生态保护的核心任务。生态安全屏障是指一个区域的生态系统,其格局、结构、过程处于不变或较少受到干扰的状态,形成由多层次、有序化生态系统所组成的稳定格局,为人类生存与发展提供所需的物质生产与环境服务功能,进而保障屏障区、周边区域与国家生态安全与可持续发展。在第二次青藏科考项目的支持下,研究团队从生态系统功能/服务重要性、生态环境敏感性、人类活动强度以及气候变化适应性四个维度,形成生态安全屏障关键区识别的指标群,最终识别生态系统功能保护保育区、高生态价值-退化风险防范区、高生态价值-人类压力缓解区、生态环境敏感区四类生态安全屏障关键区一级分区;并进一步结合区域生态环境敏感性评估结果,划分出二十类生态安全屏障关键区二级分区。相关研究成果对指导青藏高原生态保护与修复工程的科学布局,全面提升青藏高原生态屏障质量与功能有着重要的支撑作用。

The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is a critical ecological security barrier zone in China and even Asia, as well as a global hotspot for biodiversity conservation. Ensuring ecological security is the core task of ecological protection on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. An ecological security barrier refers to an ecosystem in a region where its pattern, structure and processes remain unchanged or are minimally disturbed, forming a stable configuration composed of multi-level, orderly ecosystems. It provides necessary material production and environmental service functions for human survival and development, thereby guaranteeing ecological security and sustainable development of the barrier zone, surrounding areas and the entire country. Supported by the Second Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Scientific Expedition Program, the research team established an indicator system for identifying key zones of ecological security barriers from four dimensions: importance of ecosystem functions/services, eco-environmental sensitivity, intensity of human activities, and climate change adaptability. Finally, four first-level divisions of key ecological security barrier zones were identified, namely ecosystem function conservation and restoration areas, high ecological value - degradation risk prevention areas, high ecological value - human pressure mitigation areas, and eco-environmentally sensitive areas. Furthermore, combined with the results of regional eco-environmental sensitivity assessment, 20 types of second-level divisions of key ecological security barrier zones were categorized. Relevant research findings play a vital supporting role in guiding the scientific layout of ecological protection and restoration projects on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and comprehensively improving the quality and functions of the ecological barrier on the plateau.
