资源简介:
We previously established a comprehensive human breathomics database called HBDB, which compiled information on 913 volatile organic compounds (VOCs) found in human exhalations, as reported in 2766 publications. We have now expanded the literature base of HBDB and integrated it with the results of our GC‒MS analysis of breath molecules in 233 patient samples to create the Human Clinical Breathomics Database (CBDB). Breath molecules can reflect various conditions, including human psychological and pathological states as well as the microbiome. The noninvasive nature of detecting breath molecules has significant advantages in terms of diagnostic and monitoring capabilities. CBDB contains VOCs present in breath, related references, and biomedical information gathered through manual curation and automatic extraction. This resource is the most extensive human clinical breath molecule collection and has been gathered using consistent sample collection protocols. We believe CBDB will be a valuable resource for researchers and clinicians as they seek to identify and further study potential biomarkers in patient breath. The CBDB can be accessed for free at https://hbdb.cmdm.tw/cbdb. The sample were collected from asthma, bronchiectasis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients. The material, in-house R script for GC-MS data analysis and peak tables for 3 respiratory diseases are available here. <br>
