资源简介:
As a special type of collinear antiferromagnetism (AFM), altermagnetism has garnered significant research interest recently. Altermagnets exhibit broken parity-time symmetry and zero net magnetization in real space, leading to substantial band splitting in momentum space even in the absence of spin-orbit coupling (SOC). Altermagnets are interesting prospects for spintronic devices because of the novel physical properties. Recent studies have reported altermagnetism in the layered intercalated transition metal dichalcogenide (ITMD) CoNb₄Se₈. This compound consists of Co atoms intercalated between NbSe₂ layers, forming a layered structure. The layered structure of CoNb₄Se₈ makes it a strong candidate material for exploring spintronic applications, where the interaction between spin and electronic properties can be exploited, especially due to its spin splitting in the absence of a net magnetic moment. This material can serve as a platform for studying various phenomena predicted in altermagnets. Although we have obtained some energy spectra using high-resolution ARPES (Fig.2.), we still need further measurements.
