Developing in-situ single-stage biohythane technology is crucial for effective waste reduction and energy recovery. This study introduces electro-anaerobic digestion (EAD) technology for in-situ control of biohythane production. We investigated the impact of artificially inserted electrodes on biogas composition regulation across various potential-control groups, analyzing changes in sludge properties, microbial communities, and morphological and electrochemical characteristics.
