Centre for Short Stays

The geo-layer shows the exact locations of the short-stay centres and can be used in function of the management of the residential and care patrimony and spatial analyses in combination with other information: distribution, environmental analyses, accessibility. A short-term care centre offers temporary care and care to the elderly. As an elderly person, they stay there day and night or only at night. They are connected to a residential care center and the services are largely the same. For example, the centre for short-term stays is an intermediary between continuing to live at home with home care and a permanent stay in an assisted living home or residential care centre. The inventory was made on the basis of data from the Agency for Care and Health, supplemented by data from Zorgbedrijf Antwerpen and the umbrella associations residential elderly care Zorgnet Icuro and VLOZO (Flemish Independent Care Network) . The address fields were used to link the settings to the Large-scale base map.
