Sequence of the UbeK degron signal used to decrease the half life of GFP expressed in <i>Trypanosoma brucei brucei (</i><i>T. b. brucei)</i>. The UbeK degron consists of 76 residues of native<i> T. b. brucei</i> ubiquitin protein, at the N-terminus and ending in a leucine residue to signal proteasomal degradation, followed by a short ‘eK’ region which featuring an additional proteasomal degradation signal of two lysine residues flanking an arginine.
