Streptococcus pneumoniae Genome sequencing and assembly

This project involves the whole-genome sequencing and assembly of two non-encapsulated Streptococcus pneumoniae (NESP) strains isolated from children with lower respiratory infections. The study aims to elucidate the biological characteristics, genomic features, virulence factors, and drug resistance mechanisms of these two clinical isolates. Data from this project will contribute to the understanding of the pathogenic potential and epidemiological characteristics of non-encapsulated S. pneumoniae in pediatric respiratory diseases.
