Data of: "Conservation with hard borders: Ethiopian wolves are threatened by fragmentation and isolation"

Pack size and pack composition of Ethiopian wolf focal packs in Bale Mountains, Menz-Guassa, North Wollo and Simien Mountains in 2020-2021. These estimates were used to derive the global population estimate of Ethiopian wolves considering the total counts for focal packs and extrapolations in other areas based on the number of packs known and average group size.
