Capital-use and capital-stock matrices for GLORIA, 2010-2020

The dataset encompasses global capital-use (BK) and capital-stock (K) matrices developed for the Gloria input-output framework from 2010 to 2020. The capital-use matrices capture the total interindustrial use of capital goods by industries. The capital-stock matrices capture the total capital stock of capital goods by industry. The matrices are in current thousand USD. The sectoral and regional disaggregation (120 sectors and 164 regions) follows the one of the Gloria MRIO framework. The dataset builds on the methodology described by Tausch, L., & Magacho, G. (2025). Challenges in the transition to a low-carbon economy for developing countries : Estimating capital-use matrices and imported needs. Economic Systems Research, 37(4), 501‑527. who develop capital-use matrices for 6 developing countries using LA KLEMS. This dataset extends their methodology by using additional data sources (EU KLEMS, World KLEMS, Asia KLEMS, national accounts, etc.) to construct global capital-use and capital-stock matrices.
