Seed coating technology, pivotal for sustainable agriculture in pathogen control and beneficial microbe delivery, lacks mechanistic insight into rhizosphere microbiome and soil health implications. This knowledge gap hinders large-scale application and promotion of seed coating in agricultural management. Here, we studied the effects of seed coating methods [fast-growing Sinorhizobium strain (S) or slow-growing Bradyrhizobium strain (B), individually or together with fungicides] on soil micro-ecology and soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] growth based on pot experiments.
