The mutation in CALR is detected in 20 - 30% of myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) patients. In CALR mutated patients, CALR mutation occurs in one allele, while the other allele remains WT. We analyzed the effect of Calr haploinsufficiency, CALRdel52 mutant, and both on LSK cells using Calr heterozygous knockout (Calr+/-) mice and CALRdel52 mutation transgenic mice.
