Although there are a lot of reports about of the epidemic of S. Rissen, up to date, only few studies on the pathogenicity and virulence of this serotype has been published so far. In the present study, we analyzed the whole genomic of a clinical S. Rissen isolate to discover its pathogenicity and virulence. The outcome of this study might be deepen the understanding of Salmonella Rissen and provide clues for the further study on salmonella virulence and host specificity.
