NRS-8330 | Registers of letters received [Occupation Branch, Department of Lands]

From 1885 to 1889 (volumes 11/20949-60) the registers give the following information: progressive number, former papers, date registered, from whom correspondence was received and residence, date, nature of application or representation, to whom referred and date, and result of application. From 1890 to 1898 (volumes 11/20961-80) the format of the volumes is slightly different; a column is available for official reference number (usually blank) and action, notations etc. replaces to whom referred and date and result of application. The registers at 11/20981-90 (1899-1907) record progressive number, former papers, folio, when registered, and action, notations etc. Those at 11/20991-21006 (1908-23) record progressive number, former papers, subject, when registered, and actions, notations etc. (or disposal).
