Bertya of the N.C.W. Beadle Herbarium

The 'Bertya (Euphorbiaceae sens. lat.) of the N.C.W. Beadle Herbarium' collection aims to contribute to the discovery, description and analysis of this genus of eudicots through collection, exchange, curation and study of high quality herbarium specimens and associated activities and collections based at the N.C.W. Beadle Herbarium and with collaborators. A particular local effort has been on Bertya of Australia. The N.C.W. Beadle Herbarium holds 226 specimens of this Australian endemic genus. The collection includes 24 distinct species of Bertya and several new, as yet unpublished species. NE specimens have been collected from all Australian states and the two main territories. The collection has been used for Fatemi et al. (2007). The specimen sheet collection of the N.C.W. Beadle Herbarium is databased and available to registered users for online data entry and data query.
