Cantons on the communes of Rennes Métropole

It is a layer originally created by the General Council of Ille-et-Vilaine following Decree No. 2014-177 of 18 February 2014 delimiting the cantons in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine. These perimeters will be applicable since the cantonal elections of 2015. On the territory of Rennes Métropole, for internal problems of matching the reference datasets (often more precise), the geometries of these cantons were backed by the polygons of the layer of the municipal reference limits of Rennes Métropole. This recalage was carried out according to a strict reading of the decree. The cantonal boundaries on Rennes Métropole may therefore be different from the original layer of the General Council of Ille-et-Vilaine. In addition, the cantonal perimeters on Rennes Métropole were cut by municipality to form pseudo-cantons. To reconstruct the perimeters of the cantons, use the layer of the cantons of Ille-et-Vilaine (uuid metadata = 5e05c5f1-3690-4177-9210-661c9fa641bb). It should be noted that the perimeters of the cantons in the territory of Rennes Métropole have been retouched following the consideration of the Single Cadastral Parcellar Representation (RPCU).
