资源简介:
Diatom microalgae produce nanostructured SiO2, which serves as a template for high-performance SiOx anodes in Li-ion batteries (LIBs). The partial reduction of SiO2 via magnesiothermic reduction (MgTR) at 500-900°C generates SiOx and MgO, with SiOx composition varying based on the Mg-to-SiO2 ratio. Coating SiOx with carbon is crucial for enhancing anode conductivity and cyclability, making SiOx/C composites more practical. This project will use time-resolved in situ SAXS/WAXS to understand the one-pot synthesis of SiOx/C from SiO2 and biomass. Preliminary results suggest MgTR effectively reduces SiO2 to SiOx and biomass to C, but high biomass content can decrease SiO2 reduction and create SiC. The study aims to clarify the reduction mechanism and optimize conditions for producing sustainable, high-performance SiOx/C anodes for next-generation LIBs.
