Greening Plan sites webmap dataset

In 2002, Maitland City Council adopted the Greening Plan, a strategy developed to address widespread land degradation, loss of biodiversity and habitat through the protection of remnant vegetation, habitat enhancement and community-based revegetation programs.Over 85 hectares have been revegetated on both public and private land since the plan was adopted. Maitland City Council has recently audited three sites revegetated as part of the Greening Plan using a Rapid Assessment methodology. This assessment provides a baseline to evaluate the success of revegetation efforts and identify future work necessary to maintain and improve the integrity of the vegetation present.Information in this dataset can be visualised on the Greening Plan Report Card
