ICESat-2 data accessed via SlideRule Earth for the Sierra Nevada mountains, CA Oct 2018 - Sept. 2021

ICESat-2 data was accessed via SlideRule Earth in October 2025 and is associated with code in the GitHub repository https://github.com/bessoh2/is2_mtnrange_aggregation. The data uses version 006 of ICESat-2 data, and SlideRule Earth parameters used to access the data can be found in https://github.com/bessoh2/is2_mtnrange_aggregation/blob/main/notebooks/sliderule_data_access.ipynb. Snow depth (in column 'icesat2_3dep_dif') was calculated as the difference between ICESat-2 elevation measurements ('h_mean') and bare earth elevations from the seamless 10-m product from the United States Geological Survey 3D Elevation Program (USGS 3DEP). The 3DEP elevations were sampled and reprojected using SlideRule Earth. Data were separated into three water years to reduce file size.
