资源简介:

The Panacea project offers a comprehensive nanotherapy designed to treat all types of viral hemorrhagic fevers (VHFs), such as Ebola, Marburg, Lassa, and CCHFV. These diseases have high mortality rates (20-90%), with limited current treatments. Salvus-Omni-1 is a pioneering broad-spectrum treatment developed using the "convergent science" framework, integrating over 50 scientific disciplines, including AI-driven virology and synthetic biology. The therapy consists of a targeted PLGA nanoparticle delivering a triple-component treatment: 1. HKI-789: a small molecule targeting a host protein (tank-binding kinase 1) to block the virus's ability to evade the immune system. 2. cs-siRNA-Vpol: a synthetic siRNA that inhibits the viral RNA-dependent RNA polymerase, an essential enzyme for replication, conserved across VHFs. 3. IM-Calm22: a peptide designed to mitigate deadly "cytokine storms" causing severe damage to patients. According to the study, Salvus-Omni-1 achieved a 100% survival rate in non-human primate (NHP) models, even when treatment began 72 hours after symptom onset. The therapy rapidly reduced viral loads and inflammation without notable toxicity. The research presents Salvus-Omni-1 as a revolutionary solution for VHFs and a scalable model for future pandemic preparedness.
