A dataset of 1km Grid Mangrove land density in China(2020）

Mangrove land refers to the intertidal zone of tropical and subtropical coast, which is composed of evergreen shrubs or trees mainly composed of mangrove plants. Mangrove land in China is mainly distributed in coastal areas of Hainan Island, Guangxi, Guangdong and Fujian provinces. Mangrove land has the functions of wave dispelling pioneer, coast guard and ecological reproduction. Mangrove land is an important wetland resource in China, which plays a core role in protecting biodiversity and safeguarding national ecological security. Mangrove land density is an important indicator for evaluating wetland resource endowment in coastal areas. Dynamic monitoring of mangrove land density is of great significance for protecting wetlands and improving sustainable management of mangrove land. This paper uses the 30 meter land use grid data of the 2020 National Land Change Survey, uses the kilometer grid production software, and calculates the grid space to obtain the data set of China's 1km grid mangrove land density in 2020. This data set can be used for wetland resource planning, ecological asset value estimation, biodiversity evaluation, carbon sink calculation, remote sensing sample bank construction and other studies.
