Beach soil type and erodability

The dataset provides information on soil type and soil erodability along beaches. The product is based on a reclassification along shores of the stratum soil data set Soils 1:25 000 – 1:100 000 to seven simplified soil classes and four erodability classes. The product reports the conditions at the time of mapping. Construction and earthworks may have changed the characteristics of the beach. The map should therefore be interpreted with great caution within urban areas.
