EVALUATION OF RESPIRATORY PROTECTION PRACTICES AMONG HEALTH CARE WORKERS EXPOSED TO TUBERCULOSIS AT RISK

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that spreads through the air and remains a heath risk for healthcare workers .Staff working in areas where patients with suspected or confirmed TB are treated may come into contact with infectious airborne particles during patient care and medical procedures .Respiratory protection, particularly the correct use of N95 respirators is an important part of preventing TB transmission in hospitals . Regular training, proper fit-testing and consistent use are also necessary to improve protection
