European roe deer sequencing

Long-read sequencing data (HiFi) of an European roe deer sample was collected with the aim to generate a de-novo assembly for Capreolus capreolus. One sample was deeply sequenced and a primary assembly generated with hifiasm. The sequencing and assembly was done at the Animal Physiology (Prof. Susanne Ulbrich) and Animal Genomics (Prof. Hubert Pausch) groups at ETH Zurich. The data have been made public prior to an anticipated publication following the Fort Lauderdale principles, as confirmed in the Toronto Statement (Toronto International Data Release Workshop (Birney et al. 2009)
