Gender Pay Gap in Saxony

The data represent the unadjusted gender pay gap, i.e. the pay gap between full-time women and men (excluding apprentices) aged 18 to under 65. Since women choose different professions than men, work in different industries or have different positions in the same companies, the unadjusted gender pay gap gives an incomplete picture. In order to quantify a possible disadvantage for women in terms of remuneration, the so-called adjusted gender pay gap is therefore calculated. This means that the pay gap is determined by women and men with the same characteristics. The calculations were carried out by the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) Saxony.
