Complete genome sequence of Streptomyces albidoflavus CCOS 2040

Here, we report the complete genome sequence of the actinomycete Streptomyces albidoflavus CCOS 2040 (isolate Stup19_F108) isolated from a Swiss grassland soil sample and showing antibacterial activity. The genome was sequenced using an hybrid approach with short- and long-read technologies to generate a complete genome sequence of this bacterium. The genome is composed of a 7 Mb linear chromosome and two circular plasmids of 81 kb and 7 kb. The genome contains 7,136,301 bp with 73.35% GC content. In total, 22 biosynthetic gene clusters (BGCs), including polyketides and terpenes, were predicted within the sequenced genome.
