Malawi (2012): Pretesting Chishango New Package
收藏资源简介:
The 2008 TRaC survey indicated that ChishangoTM had 66% of the paid up market and 22% of the total condom market in Malawi. PSI/Malawi would like to introduce a new pack and modify the graphics on the pack. Before the pack is launched there was a need to pretest the designs and images with the target audience. The main objective of the pretesting study was to get the target audiences views on their preferred pack and its corresponding image. The pretesting employed a qualitative methodology to gather data from the target audience. The pretesting was done in the peri-urban areas of Lunzu and Kachere in Blantyre city. Overall the participants to the discussions liked the standard pack, more especially because it is small in size hence easy to put in a pocket. The participants had reservations with the Candy pack considering the size of the pack. It was considered big in size hence ideal for a female condom. In addition, the target group highlighted that the Standard pack is easy to open unlike the Candy pack. On the images, the participants liked the strong man with a shield image. The ranking exercise indicated that many of the participants liked the strong man and the shield image.
