Comprehensive investigation on marine-derived halocarbons in the coastal and open ocean of western Pacific Ocean: sources, emissions, and environmental effects

In order to discuss the differences in concentrations, production rates, emissions, and sources of volatile halocarbons (VHCs) in the ECS, SCS, and western Pacific Ocean are discussed, along with the differences in the contributions of coastal seas and open oceans to global halogen budgets. We made simultaneous measurements of seawater and atmospheric concentrations of VHCs during cruises in the East China Sea (ECS), South China Sea (SCS), and Western Pacific Ocean from 2017-2020. This dataset contains the original data of Chl-<em>a</em> and VHCs concentrations in the se<em>a</em>water and atmosphere of the ECS, SCS, and western Pacific Ocean during the period of 2017–2020.
