Improvement Agreements

This is a digital record of the City of Springfield's Improvement Agreements recorded in The City of Springfield’s Land Records Documents, which are regularly recorded with Lane County’s Deeds and Records department. An improvement agreement (IA) is an arrangement between the City of Springfield and a developer in which the developer promises upon request to pay for public facility improvements that are necessitated by the development in lieu of constructing the improvements immediately. The City can require the future payment on its timetable without consultation of the developer. An improvement agreement is an encumbrance that runs with the land.
