Diarrheal illness and enteric infections among young children in Nunavik and Nunavut: a 2-year prospective cohort study

The data set was developed with the main intention of improving the health of young children in Canadian Arctic communities in partnership with local health authorities and parents/guardians. Specifically, our group quantified the burden of enteric infections among pre-school aged children in Nunavik and Nunavut, and measured the impact of diarrhea/enteric pathogens on their growth and development. We also evaluated the impact of local diagnostics for enteric infections in these regions. Together this data will help inform subsequent community-adapted interventions that seek to prevent enteric infections and help children reach their full potential.
