This dataset collects data on the distribution area and associated tree species of wild gallnut forest resources in Wufeng County, Hubei Province. Chinese gallnut is a plant gall formed by inducing leaf tissue hyperplasia on plants of the Rhus genus via gallnut aphids. It is rich in tannins, serves as an important industrial raw material, and is widely applied in the fields of medicine, chemical engineering, dyes, food, photosensitive materials and microelectronics industry.
